Tarvastu Museum

This museum, in the village of Mustla in Tarvastu municipality in Viljandi County, preserves, studies and exhibits items related to the culture and history of the municipality and the former Tarvistu parish.
The focal point of the exhibition is local farm life in all its facets: farm work, tools, national costume and the local language and culture. You will also find out how Mustla formed and about the history of Tarvastu Castle, the local gentry (the Mensenkampff family) and education in the area. You will also get an overview of the lives and work of cultural figures from the Tarvastu area.
